Mey Market on Tour

Mey Market have started their weekly Tuesday markets in Mey Hall but are branching out this year in an effort to reach more customers, either those who can't get to Mey on Tuesdays, or who just haven\'t got round to visiting the market yet. Three "Awaydays" have been organised.

The first of these will be in Reay Village Hall on Saturday 26 May, 10.30-3.00.

Most of the regular stallholders are making the journey and there will be plants, food,
gifts, art and craftwork, which, as far as possible, will be locally sourced or produced. Refreshment profits and stall rents will be donated to Reay Village Hall funds.

Two further "Awaydays" have been arranged, Latheron Village Hall on Saturday 9 June, and Pulteney Centre, Wick on 22 September.

Because of the tremendous local support the market has received several of the stallholders have already progressed their business in just one season, and everyone involved is justly proud of the success of the market. Stallholders aim to offer products unique to the area, and from the comments from both visitors and locals, this is what customers really want to see.

Our motto has to be: Meet the producer, buy the product.
