The US Iran war causing huge tanker problems has meant the home heating prices to rocket. In Two days the price has gone from 72 pence litre to around £1.
A full tank of 1000 litres could be £1140.
The signs are not good unless the war stops and tankers can get back to normal.
For a period in January the price was around 65 pence per litre.
Heating oil is not subject to a price cap like gas and electricity so prices are volatile.
If the war stops then prices could fall rapidly.
