2013 Thurso Heritage Calendar

Thurso Heritage Society is pleased to announce that following the success of our 2012 Calendar we have, by popular demand, produced a 2013 issue.

The new calendar is to be the first in a "Div ye mind" series, bringing back memories of old Thurso. This first version features 'e Thirsa Shoppies with photographs and original adverts for various shops such as Fred Shearers, The Empire Tearooms, Andersons, Lindsays, Fidlers and Spears.

Again this year the calendar is moderately priced at £5.00 and will make a popular Christmas gift to send overseas. 'e Thirsa Shoppies is available at selected local outlets as well as direct from Society members and by contacting thursoheritage1[AT]googlemail.com.

The financial success of the 2012 calendar allowed the Society to have the Robert Dick Memorial Seat at the Boating Pond completely rebuilt. Now other new and exciting projects are in the pipeline for the year ahead but this will only be possible with the continued support from the good folk of Thurso and those with Thurso connections who so generously supported the work of the Society in the past and for that, a huge thank you.
