A Bright Future for Women in STEM - Wick, 13th November

On Wednesday 13th November, Women[AT]Work will be running a conference on women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at the Pulteney Centre in Wick. The conference will focus on opportunities for women in further education in STEM subjects and employment opportunities utilising these qualifications.
The conference is aimed at women who:
Are already working in Science, Engineering or Technology (SET)
Are interested in a career change into SET
Are interested in STEM community projects
Are in S4, S5 or S6 at school
It is also an awareness raising event and they would welcome anyone who has a professional interest in gender equality issues.
The event will feature workshops run by:
STEM Highland and University of the Highlands and Islands
Scottish Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology
Environmental Research Institute
It will also feature three guest speakers - Dyan Foss (Deputy Managing Director, Dounreay), Alison McLure (Institute of Physics) and Dr Elizabeth Masden (Environmental Research Institute).
