Partrac Ltd.will be recovering three bottom mounted ADCP frames from the following positions (in WGS84) from the Inner Sound of the Pentland Firth:

ADCP 01 58° 39.6033 N 003° 08.4651 W
ADCP 02 58° 39.5697 N 003° 08.2482 W
ADCP 03 58° 39.4890 N 003° 08.2627 W

All equipment (including ground weights) will be removed from site at the end of the study. Recovery operations are planned
for 10th to 12th May 2015, weather permitting.

Marine License: Exemption received 9th July 2014.

BOTTOM MOUNTED CURRENT PROFILERS
The ADCP profiler is housed in a stainless steel mooring frame (Fig. 1) equipped with sufficient ballast to ensure that the frames do not move under the influence of the tidal currents. Each instrument sits in the frame approximately 0.5m from
the seabed. The footprint of the frame on the seabed is approximately 3.2 m2 (1.8 m x 1.8m).
