Highland Council Announce No Cuts To ASN And PSA Posts

Highland council have announced ahead of the budget on 15th February 2018 that there will not be cuts to additional support needs (ASN).
Several protests erupted after budget papers were leaked showing cuts. However Margaret Davidson as leader of the council maintained the papers were a work in progress and nothing had been finalised.
The council's budget leader Alasdair Mackinnon said on BBC Radio Scotland that suggested cuts to 300 jobs in schools were "off the table". The 40 school teacher posts are still under discussion.
