Road Closure For Upgrade Before Wind Turbines Arrive

The B870 Mybster to Westerdale road will be closed from 9am on Monday 26th March 2018 to 5pm on 22nd April 2018. This is to upgrade the road to allow for turbine deliveries.

The majority of the road closure has been coordinated to fall outside school term times. During term time, school buses will be able to use the road.

Provision for emergency vehicle access can be made within 15 minutes.

To avoid the road closure, diversion signs will advise an alternative route: A99 trunk road, C1014 Achalone Houstry road, C1018 Westerdale Halkirk road.

The project comprises 5 x Senvion MM92 turbines and is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2018.
