Wester Bridge Opening/road Closure

Please be advised that we are about to commence the launch of a pipeline bundle into Sinclair's Bay. This operation will take between 24 - 36 hours and will require Subsea 7 to open the Wester Bridge to allow towheads to pass under and out to sea.

In line with this, the A99 will be closed for periods of up to a maximum period of 1 hour on two separate occasions during the 6/7th of July however a diversionary route if required is available via Hastigrow and Lyth. The closure is to facilitate Subsea 7, to pass towhead structures under the raised section of Wester Bridge. The exact dates and times of closure will be determined by Subsea 7’s operational requirements and, in particular, weather conditions.
