Manufacture of all types of creels. the frames are made of 8, 10 or 12mm diameter steel or a combination there of. All are double welded where necessary (there is no spot welding) then coated in plastic. creels are covered using 3mm braid net of 60 or 70 mesh size with nylon eyes. Our most popular is a traditional scottish creel with soft nylon eyes. These are multi purpose for catching crab, lobster, velvet and green crab.

Fishermen Get To See New Creels With Plastic Parts At Trade Show In Glasgow A revolution in the traditional creel used for hundreds of years by fishermen is underway and being led by a local firm Caithness Creels working closely with a plastics firm - Stornoway Plastics on the Isle of Lewis. Fishermen and others in the industry got a chance to see the new creels and parts for themselves at a trade exhibition n Glasgow today Caithness Creels has been working in collaboration with Stornoway Plastics to come up with a new way of manufacturing creels that will have much longer life.
