Arch Henderson was formed in 1919 to offer specialist services in the design of harbour works, coast protection and ship repair facilities. While this specialisation in marine civil engineering works has remained, the firm is now multi discipline encompassing Architectural, Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering Services. In addition we undertake the Principal Designer (formerly CDMC) role on most of our projects.

Although operating as a multi-discipline organisation, each individual discipline delivers their specific service autonomously. This is linked by a shared set of principles, administration and quality assurance procedures. Whilst we are able to offer our clients many advantages by providing all services on a project collectively, each area of expertise can operate independently and has built up their individual reputations on this basis. This reputation is then further galvanised by our strength as one multi-discipline consultancy.
