The Consumer Prices Index rose by 3.0% in the 12 months to February 2026, unchanged from the 12 months to January.   Clothing made the largest upward contribution to the monthly change, while motor fuels made the largest, offsetting, downward contribution.

Monthly GDP Estimates Scotland for January 2026

Scotland's onshore GDP is estimated to have shown no growth in the three months to January 2026, compared with growth of 0.1% in the three months to December 2025, and growth of 0.4% in the three months to November 2025, according to statistics announced by the Chief Statistician.   In the month to January 2026, Scotland’s GDP grew by 0.5%.
