Kennel Assistant
Donald S McGregor & Partners, Thurso are looking for a proactive and hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, is organised and reliable, and enjoys working as part of a busy veterinary team. You will need to be able to work independently, use your initiative and contribute positively to the efficient running of the practice.
The Role
Your main duties will include:
• Cleaning and maintaining kennels and equipment to a high standard
• Assisting with patient restraint when required
• Restocking supplies and assisting with ordering
• Cleaning and maintaining the large animal areas of the practice
• Supporting the wider veterinary team with the day-to-day running of the practice
• Ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our patients and team

We are looking for someone who is:
• Proactive and able to use their own initiative
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Reliable, organised and conscientious
• Happy working in a busy veterinary environment
• Committed to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and patient care
• A positive team player with a willingness to help wherever needed

• Hours: 9am–6pm Tuesday-Friday and 9am-1pm Saturday
