FUNDED ARTIST RESIDENCIES

Five place based residencies across Caithness and Sutherland.

The Caithness and Sutherland Culture Collective Partnership invites applications for five artist residencies, each rooted in a different locality and hosted by a partner organisation.

The partnership is led by Lyth Arts Centre (LAC) working with Lairg Learning Centre (LLC); Latheron, Lybster and Clyth Community Development Company (LLCCDC); Strathnaver Museum and Timespan.

WHAT IS CULTURE COLLECTIVE?
The programme is one of 23 Scotland-wide projects awarded funding through Culture Collective supported by Creative Scotland.

Funded by the Scottish Government, Culture Collective places creativity at the heart of community development, supporting artists and organisations to work directly with communities, respond to local priorities and create paid opportunities for creative practitioners.

KEY INFORMATION
Number of residencies: Five, with one artist/collective hosted by each partner organisation
Residency period: November/December 2026 to January/February 2028
Time commitment: Three days per week for 15 months
Total fee/Salary: £26,460 for the full residency
Location: Regular in-person work within the selected host locality
Application deadline: 5pm on Thursday 15 October 2026
Interviews: 26-29 October 2026
