Scots Aquaculture Firms Encouraged To Get Involved In Sector's Premier Global Event

Companies operating in Scotland's aquaculture supply chain industries are being encouraged to get involved in a major global networking opportunity.
Aqua Nor is the world's premier event for the sector and a focal point for new customers and investors who are interested in Scotland.
It's held in Trondheim, Norway, every two years and includes a Scottish pavilion attended by Scotland's aquaculture supply chain businesses. This year it takes place from 19 to 21 August.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is returning to the event to host the pavilion, along with the Sustainable Aquaculture Innovation Centre.
HIE is inviting supply chain companies to get involved by featuring in the new ‘Scotland at Aqua Nor' brochure, exhibiting at the pavilion, or simply attending to network.
Elaine Jamieson, HIE's head of blue economy, said:
"It would be very hard to overstate the importance of Aqua Nor to Scotland's aquaculture supply chain. It offers fantastic opportunities for companies to showcase their products and services to a global audience and make new business connections.
"After the 2023 event, every participant from Scotland reported that their organisation benefited from attending the show, with more than half saying it led to more sales and new customers.
"We’re really looking forward to hosting the pavilion again this year. It’s so important that we build on the profile raising carried out at previous events and make sure Scotland continues to have a strong presence on this global aquaculture stage."
The Scotland pavilion at Aqua Nor 2025 is supported by the Scottish Government’s Marine Fund , set up to help deliver Scotland’s Blue Economy Vision Scotlands Blue Economy Vision for the use and management of the country’s marine environment and ‘blue’ resources.
