Trainee Stone Mason

Pay: (£31,200 - £35,360, depending on experience)

An opportunity has arisen within our production team for 2No. Trainee Stone Masons. This role is based in our production workshop in Lieurary Quarry, Thurso and involves learning and using a variety of equipment and techniques to produce our range of Caithness flagstone products.

Requirements:
-Able to work both independently and as part of a team
-Ability to read order documentation, schedules and drawings
-Good acumen for maths
-Physically capable of taking on the varied manual handling activities
-Must be able to follow procedures and processes. This is key to ensure both product quality as well as health and safety requirements are met
-Good technical skills, willingness to learn and patience. We have a wide range of products which all require the same high standard of finish

As this role is a trainee role, comprehensive on-site training will be provided however working experience in quarrying or construction industries are advantageous.
