Wick River Campsite - A Great Success For Wick Development Trust

From Caithness Voluntary Group Facebook page about a great success for the volunteer run Wick Development Trust.   I thought I should do a post based on the recent post shared about the new facilities block at Wick River Campsite.

Wick Development Trust - Wick Riverside Biodiversity Improvements Success - £6,319

Five local organisations to benefit from the 2023/24 Highland Nature Restoration Fund as further approvals are announced.   Five organisations have been awarded funding from the second round of the 2023/24 Highland Nature Restoration Fund.

£90k Worth Of Community Regeneration Funding Awarded By Caithness Councillors to Wick Campsite Toilets

Members of the Caithness Area Committee, who met on Monday, 21 August 2023, considered and agreed funding for an application submitted to the area's Community Regeneration Fund.   The Wick Development Trust successfully secured £90,000 towards Phase 2 of their overall development plan, with this phase focusing on the development of a Toilet Block & Facilities building at Wick River Campsite.

Bower Wigwams For Great Camping

An alternative camping holiday site in Caithness is proving popular with tourists.  James and Jenny Polson of Lower Thura Farm near Wick have 2 cosy wooden camping cabins known as Wigwams for hire on their land.
