DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (January 22nd) sold 914 store cattle, 23 adult head of breeding cattle 161 OTM cattle.

Bullocks (527) averaged 231.6p and sold to 276.3p per kilo for a pair of 257kg Limousin crosses from Westburn, Thurso, and £1,280 gross for a 705kg Simmental cross from Glebe Farm, Kiltarlity.

Heifers (384) averaged 216.9p and sold to 273.6p per kilo for a pen of 212kg Charolais crosses from Dunlichity Farm, Farr, and £1,240 gross for a 685kg Aberdeen Angus cross from 15 Balnadelson, Lairg.

Young bulls (3) sold to 208.3p per kilo for a 360kg Simmental cross from Culmaily Farm, Golspie, and £1,020 gross for a 515kg Limousin from Dunain Mains, Inverness.

In calf cows (19) sold to £1,050 gross for an Aberdeen Angus from Swordale Farm, Bonar Bridge.

In calf heifers (2) sold to £880 gross for an Aberdeen Angus also from Swordale Farm.

Heifer with calf at foot (2) sold to £1,580 gross for a Limousin heifer with a male calf at foot from Kirkhill Farm, Alves.

OTM prime & feeding cattle (161) averaged 118.1p and sold to 189.0p per kilo for a 545kg British Blue from Ardgayhill, Ardgay and £1,270 gross for an 895kg Charolais from Tore Mains, Tore.
