DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (February, 27th) sold 1,893 sheep of all classes.
Lambs (1,138) sold to £100 gross for a Blue Texel from 2 Corbett Terrace, Uig.
Ewes (517) sold to £128 gross for a Texel cross from Castlecraig Farms, Nigg.
In-lamb gimmers & ewes (76) sold to £128 gross for a Cheviot from Coulags, Strathcarron.
Rams and feeding sheep (162) sold to £138 gross for a Texel ram from Dunearn, Nairn.
"Feeding ewes were in very strong demand, many more store lambs could have been sold to sellers advantage."

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (February, 27th) sold 19 Blackface females at its show and sale.
Mr J. A. MacCusbic, Totarder, Isle of Skye judged the Blackface section and awarded his champion to the first prize in lamb gimmer from Crackaig Blackies, a daughter off 6K Auldhouseburn carrying a single sired by Auldhouseburn Son of 160K Elmscleugh, realising £500 to R. MacKenzie, Glebe of Deisher, Boat of Garten.
The reserve champion was awarded to the 2nd prize in lamb gimmer also from Crackaig Blackies, a daughter off 6K Auldhouseburn carrying twins sired by Auldhouseburn Son of 160K Elmscleugh, realising £500 to Ben Alder Estate, Dalwhinnie.
In the Blue Faced Leicester section the top price was awarded to Midlock Farm for a ewe lamb sired by 1538/L39 Midlock out of a 281/H1 Carry House dam realising £720 to Mr R. Baynes, Blackford Farm, Croy.
