PORTREE, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August, 24th) sold 3,346 store lambs and ewes.

Lambs (2,992) averaged £53.07 (+£13.06 on the year) and sold to £81 gross for a Suffolk cross lamb from 15 Glenconon, Uig.

Feeding sheep (342) averaged £51.34 and sold to £100 gross for a Texel cross ewe from 12/20 Borreraig, Dunvegan.

"Well fleshed and well-bred lambs prices were comparable to other markets."
