DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (November, 11th) sold (403) weaned calves, store & breeding cattle including 67 Highland and Highland crosses.

Bullocks (188) averaged 216.6p per kg and sold to 280.8p per kg for a 187kg Limousin cross from Craigton, Bonar Bridge and £980 gross for a 490kg Beef Shorthorn cross from 2 Isle of Ewe, Aultbea.

Heifers (113) averaged 208.3p per kg and sold to 268.4p per kilo for a 190kg Limousin cross from Craigton, Bonar Bridge and £1,180 gross for a 625kg Simmental cross from Ballone, Abriachan.

Young Bulls (7) averaged 174.1p per kg and sold to 241.7p per kg for a 240kg Aberdeen Angus and £650 gross for a 340kg Aberdeen Angus both from Strathglass Farms, Cannich.

Highland & Highland cross bullocks (48) sold to 169.5p per kg for a 413kg Highland cross from The Barracks, Glenelg and £800 gross for a 527kg Highland cross from Garry Gualach, Invergarry.

Highland & Highland cross heifers (19) sold to 171.6p per kg and £460 gross for a pen of 268kg Highlands from Hope & Melness Farm, Lairg.

In calf cow (11) sold to £880 gross for an Aberdeen Angus from 43 Bernisdale, Portree.

In calf heifer (2) sold to £820 gross for a Belted Galloway cross from Curlew, Mybster.

Cow with male calf at foot (8) sold to £1,380 gross for a Belted Galloway from 35 Borve, Isle of Lewis.

Cow with heifer calf at foot (7) sold to £1,460 gross for a Belted Galloway from Curlew, Mybster.
