DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (April, 21st) sold 1,625 sheep of all classes.
Lambs (1,370) averaged £90.30 and sold to £147 gross for a Texel cross from 28 Skelbo Muir, Dornoch.
Ewes (166) averaged £67.05 and sold to £158 gross for a Cheviot from 90 Portgower, Helmsdale.
Rams and feeding sheep (72) sold to £164 gross for a Texel ram from Skinnerton, Inver.
Ewes with lambs at foot (14) sold to £150 gross for a Cross ewe with twin lambs at foot from Bogallan, North Kessock.
In lamb ewes (3) sold to £95 gross for LLeyn ewes from Ose Farm, Struan.
"Store lambs again looked very dear no doubt spurred on by the continuing buoyant Prime Market. Ewes and Cast Rams were on a par with previous sales."
