DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 17th) sold 9,845 store lambs and ewes.
Lambs (8,966) averaged £37.59 and sold to £62 gross twice for Bleu du Maine's from Seafield House, Portmahomack.
Ewes & gimmers (879) averaged £30.18 and sold to £80 gross for Cheviot gimmers from 11 Branahuie, Stornoway.
"An excellent show of Blackface lambs met an extremely firm demand. The Blackface Sheep Society prizes for the best pens of Blackface lambs were as follows:

2nd Messrs W. R. MacIntyre & Co, Tulloch
3rd Messrs E. A. & B. W. Johnstone, Achnabat
All classes of cross lambs fully maintained last weeks keen rates with Cheviots showing a light increase on the week. Sale average showed an increase of £11.64 on the year."
