Feeding sheep (621) sold to £140 gross for a Texel ram from 17 Distillery Cottages, Tomatin.
“Lamb trade continues to band along at a rate of knots as vendors are venturing home with prices in their pockets quite like nothing they've seen before at this time of year. All classes were sharper again and demand remains firm.
Another good number of ewes saw a lot more feeding types forward and flesh was in seriously short supply. Continental and Cheviot sorts cashed in every bit as dear as the last few weeks, whilst Blackface ewes remain harder to cash.”
