Feeding sheep (298) sold to £138 gross for Texel ewes from Inshes Farm, Inverness.
“Lambs once again met a firm enquiry and the meat and heavier sorts cashed in at comparable rates with a leaner show forward compared to last week. Lambs with good confirmation would actually be dearer and short of buyer's requirements. The story of the day in the ewe ring is that there was more meat in the Cafeteria refrigerators that was presented to our usual ringside of buyers. Trade was comparable for the leaner end however the meat that was around cashed in at dearer rates with virtually none of the best end sorts around.”
