New season lambs (629) averaged 233.2p (+5.5p) and sold to 256.4p per kg for 47kg Texels from Inveruglas Farm Kingussie and £146 gross for a 67kg Texel from Moy Bridge Croft, Wester Moy.
Feeding sheep (435) sold to £170 gross for a Texel ewe from Lochdhu, Nairn.

“A better show for quality was presented to the lamb buyers this week as more fed sheep came on to the market. This coincided with more weight being around which lifted the overall pounds per head average to £108ph which is a phenomenal return for vendors at this time of year. Many a new face was present in the list of ewe vendors today who went home ecstatic with their day's trading. Overall trade would be sharper and more meat was around compared to last week’s famine.”
