New season lambs (527) averaged 263.5p (+1.8p) and sold to 283.5p and £133 gross.
Feeding sheep (189) sold to £148 gross.

New season lambs (527) averaged 263.5p (+1.8p) and sold to 283.5p per kg for a pen of 45.5kg Charollais crosses from Balliefurth Farm, Grantown on Spey selling to Messrs John M Munro Ltd, Dingwall and £133 gross for a pen of 53.5kg Suffolk crosses from Muirton Mains, Urray.
Feeding sheep (189) sold to £148 gross for a Bluefaced Leicester ram from Borlum Farm, Fort Augustus.

"Carrying on from last week's Christmas prosperity in the prime lamb ring another solid trade greeted the vendors today. Trade would be similar on the week with no flashy Beltex sorts forward. More numbers are required in Dingwall as the demands of the ever growing buyer support needs to be fulfilled. The ewe trade today was on fire with all classes cashing in at dearer rates on the week. There were no humdinger weight bags of Texels forward yet again which doesn’t give us this ‘noted’ top price in the report, however vendors and potential vendors can rest assured they are attaining top returns here at Dingwall."
