DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (December 28th) sold 350 prime sheep.
New season lambs (321) averaged 257.6p (-9.4p) and sold to 305.1p and £131 gross.
Feeding sheep (29) sold to £95 gross.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (December 28th) sold 350 prime sheep.
New season lambs (321) averaged 257.6p (-9.4p) and sold to 305.1p per kg for a 39kg Beltex from 52 Conval Street, Dufftown and £131gross for a pen of 49kg Texel from Bardnaclavan Farm, Thurso.
Feeding sheep (29) sold to £95 gross for a Texel cross ewe from 14 Airdens, Bonar Bridge.

"A lighter show of lambs was forward this week with combined with less fed sheep beings around. The average shows a drop in the week however with less hard fed sheep around and the few store lambs that were present this was the reasoning behind the drop. Well fleshed sorts however were every but as dear as last week. The handful of ewes that were forward were of the leaner commodity and were comparable on the week."
