DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (January 12th) sold 566 store cattle, 8 adult head of breeding cattle and 113 OTM cattle.
Bullocks (305) averaged 239.5p and sold to 319.2p per kg for a 235kg British Blue cross from Shewglie, Glenurquhart and £1,460 gross for a 715kg Limousin cross from 8 Englishtonmuir, Bunchrew.
Heifers (239) averaged 228.7p and sold to 281.7p per kg for a 355kg Limousin cross from Shewglie, Glenurquhart and £1,380 gross twice for a 635kg Simmental cross and for a pen of 503kg Simmental crosses all from Borlum, Scaniport.
Young Bulls (22) sold to 260.0p per kg for a pair of 250kg British Blue crosses from Shewglie, Glenurquhart and £1,180 gross for a pair of 552kg Simmental crosses from Borlum, Scaniport.
In calf cows (6) sold to £1,020 gross for an Aberdeen Angus from Swordale Farm, Bonar Bridge.
In calf heifers (1) sold to £940 gross for an Aberdeen Angus from Swordale Farm, Bonar Bridge.
Cow with heifer calf (1) sold to £820 for Beef Shorthorn cross with an August born Charolais cross calf.
