"The Prime cattle purchasers unfortunately weren't greeted with the same show for quality as what they were privy to last week. However, what was forward was full of flesh and a brisk trade awaited them. Handy weight heifers were a scarce commodity and more of this commodity are required to fulfill our ever-growing demand."

"Continuing the national trend last week all classes of feed sheep were sharper on the week, bringing a little more joy to the vendors. Plainer sorts however realized the same returns as last week. We nearly had to have the fire brigade on standby as the ewe trade could only be described as flaming inferno. Trade was well and truly on fire on fire with many lots catapulting over the £200 barrier culminating in an almighty crescendo with the sale averaging an astonishing £122 despite there being many pens of hill type ewes forward."
*Notice to Vendors*
Could all vendors of prime lambs please deliver their lambs to the Mart before 10.30 A.M. to allow us time to have them clipped prior to the start of the sale. Thank You.
