"There was plenty of weight in the fat cattle ring which distorts the pence per kilo average, however the pounds per head average was up on the week. All classes met a firm enquiry in particular 550-600kg heifers. More handy weighted sorts are required on a weekly basis."

“The hogg ring was more buoyant again this week with all classes sharper. Heavy sorts were privy to largest increase on the week as numbers are maybe lightening up and down the country. Another strong ewe trade was witnessed with power being in serious short supply. With not one big continental ewe forward and the sale yet again consisting of mostly lean and hill types a tremendous average of £105 a head was recorded. More numbers of all classes of ewes on a weekly basis are required.”

*Notice to Vendors*
Could all vendors of prime lambs please deliver their lambs to the Mart before 10.30 A.M. to allow us time to have them clipped prior to the start of the sale. Thank You.
