DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (April,13th) sold 915 store cattle and 33 OTM cattle.

Bullocks (424) averaged 248.5p and sold to 296.8p per kg for a 310kg Limousin from Seaview Cottage, Gairloch and £1,365 gross for a 593kg Aberdeen Angus Cross from Olrig Mains, Thurso.

Heifers (488) averaged 237.1p and sold to 312.3p and £1,780 gross for a 570kg Beef Shorthorn from 207 Migdale, Bonar Bridge.

Young Bulls (One) sold to 223.7p per kg and £660 gross for a 295kg Limousin Cross from Kingsburgh, Portree.

"With a good number forward a mixy show was on offer. Fleshier stores were more hesitant but grazily cattle were a great trade. A grand number again in a fortnight."
