DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (May, 17th) sold 867 of all classes of Store Sheep.

Hoggs (386) sold to £110 gross for a pen of Texel Crosses from Bluebell Cottage, Fleuchary.
Ewes (139) sold to £133 gross for a pen of Texels from Rowanlea, Bonar Bridge.
Ewes with lambs at foot (316) sold to £91 gross per life for a Texel Cross Ewe with twin Texel Cross wedder lambs at foot from Easter Glackton, Gollanfield.
Rams and feeding sheep (26) sold to £138 gross for a Texel Cross Ram from Bluebell Cottage.

"The store hoggs continue to grace us with their presence in Dingwall as another sound entry descended from the hills, being met with buyers from the South heading up the A9 trunk road. All classes met a firm enquiry with the smaller end being a shade sharper than the last sale. Ewes and lambs at foot were met with a packed ringside of buyers from as far afield as Edinburgh. A sound trade was had for a show that mainly consisted of pure cheviot outfits with very good young lambs at foot."
