DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 19th) sold 75 pedigree and commercial Luing cattle at their second annual spring breeding sale.
Pedigree bulling heifers (56) averaged £1,414.31 and sold to 2200gns (£2310) for a pair of 25 month old heifers from Cadzow Brothers Ltd., Isle of Luing, to Ms S. Campbell-Lloyd, Wester Lealty Farm, Boath.
Commercial bulling heifers (14) averaged £752.25 and sold to 900gns (£945) for a pair of 26 month old Luings crosses from Mr G. Towns, Easdale, Turriff, to Mr A. Macpherson, Torvaig, Portree.
Bulls (5) averaged £1449.30 and sold to 3000gns for a 24 month old from Messrs C. C. Macarthur & Co, Nunnerie Farm, Biggar, to The Crofters Commission, Knocknagael, Inverness.
