Feeding Sheep (249) sold to £200 gross for a Texel ewe from Barnyards, Beauly.
"A Lot of lean and light lambs were forward today which hindered the day's average. It is advisable to get lambs to the right condition for selling as meat is the key. Another strong ewe trade was witnessed this week for all classes sold. Yet again it was the usual story with the sale consisting mostly of hill type ewes and only a couple of pure continental types presented, nevertheless an overall average of over £100 per head was achieved."
