Bullocks (66) averaged 229.3p per kg and sold to 262.9p per kg for a pair of 407kg Beef shorthorn crosses from Auchriachan, Tomintoul and £1,210 gross for a pen of 518kg Charolais crosses from Lower Gartally, Drumnadrochit.
Heifers (37) averaged 209.0p per kg and sold to 254.7p per kg for a 530kg Limousin cross from Garthbeg Farms, Corriegarth and £1,360 gross for a 600kg Stabiliser from Corrimony Farms, Glen Urquhart.
Young Bulls (6) sold to £1,130 gross for a pair 535kg Aberdeen Angus's from Lochdhu Nairn.

"A very mixed show of store cattle was on offer today which sold away at sound enough returns, comparable with those seen at the last sale.
The highlight of the sale, which was also a sombre affair, for those involved was the dispersal of the renowned Garthbeg herd. The dispersal of one of Dingwall Marts signature lots of store cattle, consignors received great support from those near and far. There was some really well bred units forward which saw some of the North of Scotland’s most noted ‘showmen’ engaging in battle to acquire them, which can only be taken as a great credit to the stockmen of the herd."

“A satisfactory number of cows forward saw trade on fire for a very plain show. Anything with meat was £2 per kilo plus, with ease, which isn’t reflected in the average due to the amount of lean and Highland type cows forward.
