FORT WILLIAM., Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September 2nd) sold 2,456 store sheep of all classes
Lambs (2,160) sold to £100 gross for a pen of Texel Crosses from Steall, Fort William.
Feeding sheep (296) sold to £73 gross for a Blackface Ram from Car Na Fersa, Kilchoan.
"The opening store lamb sale in Fort William saw more lambs around than at the same sale from the previous year. Lambs have turned out in tremendous bloom; although they were smaller on the year. A grand ringside of buyers were in force ensuring that trade was comparable with rates seen at other centres."
