DINGWALL., Dingwall and Highlands Marts Ltd (September 30th) sold 5,684 Store lambs & feeding sheep.
Lambs (5,475) averaged £59.97 and sold to £112 gross for a pair or Texel's from Broombank, Culloden Moor.
Ewes and feeding sheep (209) sold to £160 gross for a Beltex ram from Teanluick, By Beauly
"Another end to another mammoth week in Dingwall saw a grand trade throughout for all classes of store lambs, despite many looking and feeling the effects of a wet summer in the west. The sale mostly consisted of very small long keep lambs which led to stronger sorts being dearer than the previous sale. Dingwall Mart would like to Thank Mr Neil McCleary for travelling all the way from Longtown and for his invaluable help throughout the day."
