DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August 10th) sold 6438 store lambs at their annual district sale to average £51.61 (+£4.39 on the year).
Cheviot wedder lambs (3,681) averaged £50.82 (+£3.28) and sold to £64 gross for a pen from Knockglass, Dornoch.
Cheviot ewe lambs (1,652) averaged £48.68 (+£2.92) and sold to £72 gross for a single from 1 Balcharn, Lairg.
Texel cross lambs (662) averaged £58.65 (+£7.63) and sold to £67 gross for pens from 145 Badnellan, Brora and Knockglass.
Suffolk cross lambs (274) averaged £59.65 (+£10.50) and sold to £68 gross for a pen from Bardachan, Dornoch.
Other breeds (169) averaged £48.05 (+£4.48) and sold to £68.50 gross for Cheviot Mules from Lower Gartally, Drumnadrochit.
