Bullocks (237) averaged 217.3p and sold to 271.1p per kg for a 225kg British Blue cross from 1 Obbe Road, Leverburgh and £1,400 gross for a 617kg Charolais cross from Ballone, Abriachan
Heifer (207) averaged 210.0p and sold to 298.4p per kg for a 605 Limousin cross from Shop Farm, Scotscalder and £1,400 gross for a 660kg Beef Shorthorn cross from Auchmore Farm, Muir of Ord.
Young bulls (12) averaged 170.8p and sold to 261.5p per kg for a 195kg Charolais cross from Dunlichity Farm, Farr and £1,040 gross for an Aberdeen Angus from Torachility Farm, Contin.

"Today was one of the most mixed shows of store calves to have ever graced Dingwall arena. Small hairy hill bred calves once again proved hard to cash. Anything with style and shape was keenly bid for and short for buyers' requirements.

“A mammoth number of cows forward mostly consisted of lean hill types which reflects in the sales overall average. Well Fleshed cows were well bid for and many more of this commodity could have easily been sold."
