New Season Lambs (213) averaged 220.0p (+8.6p) and sold to 247.8p per kg and £114 gross for a pair of 46kg Texel Crosses from Inveruglas Farm, Kingussie selling to Messrs Fraser Brothers, Butchers, Dingwall.
SQQ 25.5kg to 45.5kg (149) averaged 218.4p (+6.5p) per kg.
Feeding Sheep (307) sold to £153 gross for a Beltex Ewe from Muiryfold Farmhouse, Keith.
"A smaller number of lambs forward were dearer and well short of buyer's requirements. Fit, fed sheep are now commanding premium prices and despite the costs, it is benefiting to hopper lambs.
Ewes met another firm enquiry and were again dearer for all classes."
