Prime bullocks (12) averaged 271.2p (+28.2p) and sold to 351.9p per kg and £1,900.26 gross.
Prime heifers (32) averaged 264.0p (+8.6p) and sold to 350.4p per kg and £2,400.24 gross.

"A fantastic entry of cattle were presented to our judge for today, Mr A J Jamieson, proprietor of A J Jamieson Butchers, Fochabers. Our judge was seriously impressed with the quality on offer eventually tapping out his Champion, a British Blue heifer consigned by the widely noted Invercharron stable of Messrs Munro. An active ringside of regular and new faces ensured that a solid trade was witnessed throughout."

“The sheep classes were equally as tough to judge as the cattle with no fewer than 40 pairs of lambs across all breeds forward. The Champion and Reserve pens were found amongst a couple of Aberdeen shire raiders on ‘The Castle’. Our Judge marked the Texel Champion pair consigned by Miss S Balfour, Craigiebank as the Overall Champion pen being knocked down to Messrs Munro Butchers, Dingwall for £210. Close behind were a pair of exceptional Beltex crosses from regular show winners W & D Moir of Moir Livestock and purchased by Webster’s Beef, Butchers, Keith for £200.”
