DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (December 7th) sold 229 store cattle and 76 adult head of breeding cattle.

Bullocks (117) sold to 293.9p per kg for a 245kg Limousin cross from Kintradwell Estate and £1,150 gross for a 515kg Beef Shorthorn Cross from Atlantic View, Durness.
Heifers (101) sold to 341.5p per kg for a Whitebred Shorthorn Cross from Dunlichity Farm, Farr and £1,370 gross for a Blonde d‘Aquitaine cross from Muirend Croft, Auldearn.
Young Bulls (11) sold to £760 gross for a Simmental cross from Croft Ault Na Chruinne, Glenshiel.
Breeding cattle (76) sold to £2,000 gross for a in calf Limousin Cross heifer from Rychraggan, Drumnadrochit.

"Many vendors were having an end of season clear-out amongst the stores s there was a big “monster mash" forward. The stronger end was still keenly bid for and were short of buyer's requirements and smaller calves cashed in at recent rates.”
