"Centre records in Dingwall are toppling on a weekly basis and this week it was the turn of the store cattle arena. The top gross price for a pen of store bullocks realised £2,120 from Sheeppark setting a new centre record in the process. Buyers from near and far battled through the winter elements to enter another battle zone in the store cattle arena. Another phenomenal trade greeted vendors old and new which exceeded all expectations. Many pens of Continental and Angus cattle surpassed the £3 per kg mark with ease and if it wasn't for the influx of more weathered native sorts the magical £3 per kg average would have been achieved."

“A very mixed show for quality was forward in the OTM ring today. Nevertheless another brisk trade was witnessed resulting in all classes being dearer than the last sale. Meat was in seriously short supply and many buyer’s order books were left unfulfilled, more are required to satisfy the ever growing buyer demand.”
