"Dingwall Mart also held its annual spring show and sale which was kindly sponsored by Highland Rural and judged by Mr Tom Stewart, Gunhill. A fine show of beasts were presented to him with the bullock class being extremely competitive. In fact in this section the champion and reserve were found. An outstanding Limousin Cross bullock by the Executors of the Late I Logan, Teandalloch which realised £1,900. Carrying on his winning streak from the night before was Mr Callum Maciver Easter Strath with his reserve champion bullock which realised £1,600.

Outwith the shows a solid store cattle trade was had for a very mixed show for quality. The best shapely continental and heavy cattle met a fierce enquiry whilst smaller, plainer sorts would be a touch easier than previous sales this season."
