"Hogg trade was sharper this week despite a distinct lack of fed hoggs forward. Weight was in short supply and anything fit and heavy met an unprecedented demand. Another strong ewe trade greeted the vendors. Best pure ewes met a phenomenal enquiry as too did well fleshed hill ewes which were a mile dearer than last week".
