New Season Lambs (61) averaged 251.1p per kg and sold to 286.0p per kg for a pen of 42.5kg Texel crosses from Lochdhu, Nairn and £130 gross for a 51kg Suffolk cross from 9A Loaneckheim, Kiltarlity and for a 47kg Texel cross from Invercharron Farm, Ardgay.
Old Season Lambs (58) sold to 196.0p per kg for a pen of 51kg Cheviots from Lynemore Farm, Grantown on Spey and £105 gross for a pen of 66.5kg Texel crosses from Upper Ardnagrask, Muir of Ord.
Feeding Sheep (142) sold to £198 gross for a pair of Texel ewes from Keepers Cottage, Corrybrough.
"Overall sheep trade in general was a lot less than we have seen of late. Well fleshed lambs and hoggs however were still keenly bid for, as too were the best pure shapey ewes. The over fat and common sorts were harder to cash and were cheaper on the week."
