Texel (2,532) averaged £75.04 (last year £82.34) and sold to £115 gross from Craiglands, Fortrose.
Suffolk (2,094) averaged £80.52 (last year £82.32) and sold to £185 gross from Smallburn Farms, Duffus.
Beltex (581) averaged £73.97 (last year £69.88) and sold £96 gross from Pelaig, Dingwall.
Cheviot (1,000) averaged £62.93 (last year £68.38) and sold to £83 gross from 7 Upper Edinbane, Portree.
Mule (662) averaged £79.14 (last year £88.05) and sold to £93 gross from Milton Farm, Aberarder.
Millennium Blue (178) averaged £92.02 (last year £96.37) and sold to £99 gross from Kirkfield Farm, Castletown.

"The opening store lamb sale saw an influx of buyers present. Lambs in general were no where near as big as last year with small long keep lambs plentiful and the stronger end with meat was in short supply. Despite averages on a whole being less, in reality comparing the size of the lambs trade would be similar on the year. All classes were keenly bid for with some potential purchasers venturing home empty handed."
