DINGWALL., Dingwall and Highlands Marts Ltd (September 28th) sold 4,699 N.C cheviot ewes and gimmers and all classes of store sheep.

Cheviot correct ewes (2,374) sold to £122 gross for a pen of Cheviot Ewes from Rhinamain, Bonar Bridge.

Cheviot broken mouth ewes (930) sold to £85 gross from Keppoch Farm, Dundonnell.

Cheviot feeding ewes (525) sold to £89 gross from 11 Coast, Inverasdale.

Cheviot gimmers (469) and sold to £118 gross from Lochrosque, Achnasheen.

Other breed correct ewes (104) for a pen of Cheviot mules from Invercharron, Ardgay.

Other breed broken mouth ewes (45) sold to £94 gross for a pen of Texel crosses from Keppoch Farm, Dundonnell.

Other breed feeding ewes (38) sold to £120 gross for a pair of Suffolk crosses from 3 Ardmore, Waternish.

Other breed gimmers (141) sold to £145 gross for a pen of Texel crosses from 5c Balnabeen, Conon Bridge.

Rams and Feeding Sheep (28) sold to £100 gross for a Cheviot ram from Inver Croft, Inver.

Lambs (45) sold to £77 gross for a pen of cheviots from Braelangwell Farm, Ardgay.

"An extremely mixed overing of breeding ewes were forward today with many lots distinctly lacking condition. Strong well-bred sorts met a grant enquiry and were privy to a bidding war between buyers. Gimmers were on the small side this year and proved harder to cash. There were plenty of men around the ring looking for feeding ewe cashing in at recent rates."
