New Season Lambs (500) averaged 242.2p per kg and sold to 269.0p per kg for a pen of 46.50kg Texel crosses from Inveruglas Farm, Kingussie and £143 gross for a pen of 68kg Texel crosses from Drumancroy, Portmahomack.
Feeding Sheep (805) sold to £160 for a Beltex cross ewe from DB Farms, Halkirk.

"Lamb trade took a rise today as per the national trend at the start of this week. Heavy sorts were privy to the largest increase in values as buyers seek solid meat. Another large number of ewes forward cashed in at comparable rates on the week despite a large number of blackface ewes forward."
