Pre-Application Consultation
The Highland Council's Housing and Property Service are conducting pre-application consultation on the following development proposal;
Redevelopment of the existing Council office buildings at High Street/Market Place, Wick, KW1 4AB
Further information can be obtained from The Highland Council's Housing and Property Service, Town House, Inverness, between 9:00am and 5:00pm Mondays to Fridays.
Public consultation briefings will be held at the Assembly Rooms, Sinclair Terrace, Wick , on Friday 1st April 2011 between 1:00pm and 5:00pm and on Saturday 2nd April 2011 between 9:00am and 1:00pm.
Anyone wishing to comment on the proposal should do so by writing to; Robert Chandler, Contract Administrator, The Highland Council, Housing and Property Services, Town House, Inverness, IV1 1JJ by Monday 25th April 2011.
PLEASE NOTE- No application has been submitted to Highland Council in relation to this proposal. Any comments made to the prospective applicant at this time are not representations to the Council and would not be considered as part of any future application. If the prospective applicant subsequently submits a formal application for planning permission there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to the Council.

North of Scotland Councils announce multi-million-pound EV charging infrastructure partnership
Highland, Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray Councils are today announcing that EasyGo has been awarded a 20-year contract to provide EV charging infrastructure for the north of Scotland. The contract is estimated to be worth £300 million, with Highland Council acting as the lead authority.

Committee Discusses Social Value Charter Aimed To Ensure Communities Get Fair Share
At a meeting of the Economy and Infrastructure Committee, (Thursday 29 May 2025), members gave their support to the progress being made in taking a Social Value Charter forward that aims to maximises economic benefits from the natural environment and resources and ensure communities receive tangible benefits from renewable energy developments.
